This non-API standard small-well-bore completion tubing is used when creating windows in an existing φ139.7mm (5½”) old well tubing for side-drilling. It is employed for reactivating old wells, repairing damaged tubing, and tapping remaining oil reserves.

The outer diameter/inner diameter is not an API standard; the threads comply with the API 5B specification. It can be directly paired with standard casing seals and stabilizers and is compatible with existing tool sets.
