The CDC is a special threaded joint designed for casing drilling, featuring a clamp-type construction that maintains structural integrity and sealing performance under combined loads including tension, compression, internal pressure, external pressure, and bending. It is suitable for various well conditions such as surface wells, vertical wells, and conventional inclined wells. Its tensile efficiency, internal pressure efficiency, and external pressure efficiency all reach 100% of the pipe body's capacity.
Product Specifications: 5-1/2″ to 13-3/8″
Steel grades: J55, K55, N80, P110
The threaded joint for casing drilling is designed to meet both drilling and completion requirements, capable of withstanding various drilling loads—including rotational torque, vibration, impact, and bending—while ensuring high airtightness for both cementing and production operations. Its structural characteristics differ significantly from those of conventional oil casing gas tight couplings, primarily in terms of superior torsional resistance, high connection strength, rapid coupling capability, and composite sealing performance.
Withstands high drilling torque to prevent thread overload and seizure.
Ensures excellent thread connection performance and strong resistance to adhesive adhesion.
Enhances buttoning efficiency, reduces the risk and time required for buttoning, and significantly improves the downhole speed of the casing.
Even when rotating or bending, the sealing surfaces remain properly aligned without leakage.
Significantly enhances the compressive and torsional resistance of threaded joints
It maintains excellent sealing performance even under tensile, compressive, and bending loads.
Rationally designing the thread profile ensures excellent connection strength; optimizing the thread diameter enhances the thread's resistance to slippage.
After the coupling is screwed onto the pipe body, the inner bore becomes smooth, effectively eliminating turbulence in the fluid flow within the pipe.
The torsional resistance of the threaded joint is significantly enhanced, exceeding twice that of a similarly sized API trapezoidal threaded joint.
Optimize the thread diameter to ensure that 10mm threads engage properly during installation and removal, while preventing adhesion on sealing surfaces.
Increasing the thread height and enhancing the thread contact area can prevent slippage failure under tensile loads.
