Windows are drilled in the side wall of an existing well casing to create a new borehole. The process includes well preparation, window drilling, lateral drilling, and completion with cementing. The 95 mm casing is specifically designed for lateral drilling operations in small boreholes.
Product Specifications: Φ95mm
Steel grade: N80 1/Q, P110
The 95 mm side drilling casing (3¾″, also known as a small casing) is a non-API-standard small-hole completion casing used for windowing and side drilling within existing φ139.7 mm (5½″) or φ177.8 mm (7″) well casings, primarily designed for well reactivation, casing damage repair, and maximizing remaining oil recovery potential.
Specifically designed for side drilling in φ139.7 mm casing windows, with a ring space gap of approximately 11.4 mm, ensuring excellent centering and uniform cement annulus distribution to minimize the risks of drill sticking and cementing failure.
The outer diameter and inner diameter do not comply with API standards, but the threads are manufactured according to API 5B specifications, enabling direct compatibility with conventional packers and stabilizers as well as existing tool strings.
Manufactured from high-grade steels such as N80/P110, with a post-heat treatment yield strength of ≥550 MPa and excellent resistance to bending and extrusion damage, making it suitable for shallow-side drilling (up to 3000 m) and heavy oil thermal recovery wells.
Compared to conventional drilling, side drilling combined with 95 mm casing completion reduces costs by 40–60% and shortens the cycle time by 50%, effectively revitalizing damaged or low-yield wells.
The optimized design features a 6.5 mm wall thickness and a 11.4 mm annular space, combined with a specialized alignment tool to ensure pipe column centering, complete cement annulus formation, and effective sealing of oil-water layers, thereby reducing flow risks.
With an inner diameter of 82.3 mm, it can easily accommodate φ60.3 mm oil pipes and stratification tools, meeting requirements for stratified extraction, water injection, fracturing operations, and offering significant potential for future modifications.
Suitable for thermal recovery of heavy oil, high-viscosity oil, sandstone reservoirs, casing damage repair, deepening of existing wells, resistance to H₂S/CO₂ corrosion, and extending wellbore service life.
Produced in strict compliance with the API 5CT standard, ensuring stable and reliable quality.
